Systems Engineering / Engineering Management and Consultancy

Systems engineering is fundamental in achieving outcomes that meet functional requirements. People are not capable of managing the development of complex systems. This is where systems engineering comes into play. It is used to break down complex requirements into manageable components that can be processed by individuals. Note that this can be applied to much broader fields than just engineering.

Our personnel are practitioners of systems engineering, employing the principles in order to assist customers realise their requirements and introduce new capabilities. Our personnel have significant Systems Engineering experience and have been employed in a range of projects for Air, Land and Sea platforms. The majority of Direct Support is provided to Aerospace Projects that require personnel with the necessary qualifications and experience working on complex new technology and Defence Platform Integration.

Sigma Bravo provides engineering specialists for complex technology projects. Our personnel provide both Direct and Specific project support. Direct Support includes the provision of highly skilled individuals, suitable for strategic engineering roles such as Project Engineering Managers and Leads in specialist areas including Certification activities, Electronic Warfare (EW) and Global Positioning Systems (GPS). A number of our staff also fill general Project Engineering Roles.

Specific Support consists of the delivery of Specific products to customers.

For Defence, these include:

• Functional Performance Specifications
• Statements of Works
• Project Design Acceptance Strategies, and
• Certification Support Packages.

Our personnel are also utilised in Integrated Project Teams (IPTs) and Strategic Working Groups, providing specialist support. Our personnel have contributed to the Specification Development on most current air platform projects and have a working knowledge of the support tools used within Defence such as:

• DOORS
• Open Plan Professional (OPP)
• Lifeline, and
• EMERALD.
